Summer Camp Scholarships

We exist because we believe that a relationship with God and with others will make your life better. We want as many children as possible to experience that at Camp Hardtner. We believe so much in the value of that, that we make it a priority to partner with families to invest in their children. Finances should never prevent someone from experiencing summer camp.

Check with your church first.

Your first step should be to check with your home church if you attend one (even if you don’t attend an Episcopal church). Most have funds available and are excited to help! Simply have them contact our office to let us know they will be assisting with your funding. This helps to lessen the burden on our scholarship funds and provide assistance to more families.

How much should I request?

Historically we’ve suggested that ⅓ of the camp fee be met by the family and ⅓ by the home church. However, we recognize that doesn’t fit every situation. We ask that you prayerfully consider what amount is appropriate for you to contribute–whether that is ⅓, $100, $20, or even $5.  It feels important that there is a level of shared responsibility. Beyond that, please request what feels appropriate for you and we will do our best to meet your request. We want your kid to come to camp!

Which should I do first: register or submit a scholarship application?

Complete and submit your registration first to secure your camper’s spot. At the payment screen, select the option “SCHOLARSHIP ONLY: I will pay the deposit required once my scholarship application has been processed.” so that you are not required to make any payment until your scholarship application has been reviewed.

Remember that summer camp registration and scholarship application are two separate processes, so you must complete the scholarship application form on the bottom of this page to be considered. Please provide all of the information requested so that we can review all applications and return a decision to applicants as quickly as possible.

Please contact me with any questions by calling 318-765-3794 or emailing daniel@camphardtner.org.
