Welcome Jack!
Jack Guidroz is joining the team as the newest Camp Hardtner intern. You may recognize him from his time as a counselor in 2019 and 2022.
Jack is from Mandeville, Louisiana and has been coming to Camp Hardtner since 2007. Jack spent the last four years in Golden, Colorado where he graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a degree in mechanical engineering.
His role at Camp Hardtner will be to support the existing staff while also performing maintenance on the facilities.
To help you get to know Jack, we performed a brief interview:
Favorite camp memory?
I have been coming to camp since I was seven years old, so I have a lot of amazing camp memories. However, my favorite memories come from my time as a counselor, watching the magic of Camp Hardtner work on all of the campers.
Hardest thing you did as a camp counselor?
The job as a whole is very physically and mentally demanding, but we are very well trained in handling anything thrown our way. However, one time during a game of counselor hunt, I got lost in the woods in a full princess costume on a very hot day (but the campers never caught me).
Favorite camp food?
Shepherds pie.
What are you most excited about as the new Camp Hardtner Intern?
I am so excited about the entire opportunity. I get to live in this beautiful place all while learning and growing with some amazing people.
Welcome him to the team with an email or a DM on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter!
As always – Peace, love, and milk and cookies!
