The Counselor In Training (CIT) program at Camp Hardtner is designed for graduating high school seniors who are interested in gaining valuable leadership skills and hands-on experience in a camp setting. As a CIT, participants will have the opportunity to learn from experienced counselors, assist with various camp activities, and develop essential leadership qualities. Participants will experience the behind-the-scenes of camp and see what it is like to be a counselor.
The CIT program consists of a combination of training sessions, practical experience, and mentorship opportunities. Participants will receive training in areas such as communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, and child development. Throughout the program, CITs will assist counselors with organizing and leading camp activities, supervising campers, and providing support wherever needed.
To apply for the CIT program interested candidates must complete the online application form. Applications are open to graduating high school seniors (May 2024 graduates).
