    Support Camp Hardtner 2021

    By Daniel Chapman | Uncategorized | Comments are Closed | 19 May, 2021 | 0

    Greetings and Camp Hardtner love,

We have been working hard to make preparations for summer camp 2021, and are ready to operate safely this summer. There have been many details to put into place. We are excited to welcome campers, staff, and volunteers back to Camp Hardtner’s sacred grounds.

We know our young people need camp more than ever, and that the hard work, preparation, and changes that we will implement are so worth it. We’ve all learned that relationship, community, and belonging is both needed and possible even–and especially–in the midst of a pandemic.

We truly believe that, in a powerful way, there is something that matters going on through the mission and ministry of Camp Hardtner. We believe that Camp Hardtner is called to be God in the world. And, we believe that Camp Hardtner has a role as the beating heart of the Episcopal Church in the state of Louisiana.

Join us in this role, in this calling, as we seek to love and support our camp community. Please consider giving financially and prayerfully to camp this summer.

Below we’ve listed ways to give to the mission and ministry of Camp Hardtner. Any level of giving is a great gift to camp and to those we serve. We’ve also provided a prayer schedule for the summer. We ask that you include the prayer petitions in your weekly Prayers of the People and in your own individual prayer practice.

Thank you for joining us in this call to serve God, our community, and our young people.

    Yours in Christ,

    The Hardtner Board of Trustees
    The Rev. Michael Bordelon, Chair

    Financial Support

To make a one time or recurring contribution, DONATE NOW or mail a check to the camp office.

    $100 Milk & Cookies Level

A favorite tradition at Camp Hardtner is the nightly ritual of milk and cookies. After a long day of joy and fun, campers, counselors, and camp staff gather in the cafeteria to share in celebration of everything the day brought. In the cool of the summer evening, God gathers us together to remember the sweetness of community and creation. Pull up a chair and join us in this loving tradition.

    $250 Canteen Level

At the hottest time of day, campers gather in the pavilion for some cool fun. Canteen offers down time to get ready for a full afternoon of canoeing and hiking. A cold can of soda, a crunchy bag of chips, and summertime music set the tone for this midday revival. Grab your favorite snack, sit by your new camp friend, and get in line to play some four square.

    $500 Friendship Bracelet Level

Braiding and weaving love into every knot, friendship bracelets are a classic and beautiful symbol of creativity and relationship. Every arm and ankle adorned with string shows the strength of our communion and our joy in one another. These intricate bracelets express the truth that it’s just as good to give as it is to receive. Pick your favorite colors and start crafting.

    $1000 Coffee House Level

One highlight of the Camp Hardtner experience is the celebration of God’s gifts in one another at a special talent show that we lovingly call “Coffee House”. But anyone who has been to a Camp Hardtner Coffee House knows it is more than a talent show. It is a joyous display of gifts, talents, and heart. Here, in this sacred place, you give of yourself in a big way and are met with the love of God made manifest. Look within and discern how God is calling you to put yourself out there in a big way.
