2019 Permanent Staff Applications Are Now Open

2017 Permanent Staff Photo For 2018 Applications2019 Permanent Staff Applications Are Now Open!

Online applications are being accepted through December 15, 2018.

The Permanent Staff (what we call our team of counselors) is the lifeblood of our summer camp program. Through them we bring to life our mission of welcome and belonging and further our identity as a creative summer camp program like no other. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better, or more challenging, job in the world or a more rewarding way to spend a summer.

Working and living in a close-knit community will push limits. Those who are chosen to serve are sure to grow tremendously: spiritually, personally, and professionally; all the while impacting the lives of our campers in untold ways.

Spending your summer at camp can be a hard sell in the face of the internship your college says you should get, but I believe it is totally worth it, and I’m not the only one.

This time every year I always see an article or two make the rounds on social media standing up for the camp counselor as a real job:

    • Why Being a Camp Counselor is a Real Job
    • Corporate Employers: Don’t Rule Out the Camp Counselor
    • The Camp Counselor vs. The Intern

The truth is that the benefits to many young adults are real and long lasting. Former permanent staff members tell me that they use skills they learned at camp every day, even decades later, and personally, I can attest to this.

The job provides a constant flow of opportunities to practice and develop communication skills, leadership skills, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and problem solving.

Add to that the opportunity to have a positive impact in the lives of our campers and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a meaningful, fulfilling, and worthwhile way to spend your summer.

To those of you looking to be a part of something amazing this summer, follow this link to apply.

Peace, Love, and Milk & Cookies
