Introducing Dinner With The Director
Greetings Hardtner family!
I want to let you know that Camp Hardtner is instituting a new series of events we are calling “Dinner with the Director.”
Mark these dates on your calendar now! Feel free to share this information with other families, at your school, in your church announcements, with your youth leader, and anyone else who might be interested in being in on the discussion about Camp Hardtner.
The first of these events is being hosted in Metairie, Lafayette, and Monroe as follows, each linked to an event page with more information and an RSVP form. Get registered today!
Friday, October 12 at 6:30pm – St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church – 3412 Haring Rd. Metairie, LA 70006
Friday, November 2 at 6:30pm – St. Barnabas Episcopal Church – 400 Camellia Blvd. Lafayette, LA 70503
Saturday, November 17 at 6:30pm – Home of Amber & Clay Shemwell – 2805 Pargoud Blvd. Monroe, LA 71201
November marks one year since I came to Hardtner to work as the director. The encounters I’ve had with people this year–connecting with and sharing about Hardtner–have been one of the most rewarding and informative aspects of my directorship. It is easy to see that the path forward revolves around bridging the gap between us. It is crucial that I hear from you and you hear from me. Camp Hardtner is always about interactions and relationships.
So I’m coming to you!
Dinner with the Director will be a chance for you to meet with me and have discussion about Camp—a chance to ask me questions, as well as a chance for me to hear from you and other Camp community members. You can expect conversation about the ins-and-outs of Camp, fellowship with the Camp Hardtner community, and delicious food. Talk with me; talk with counselors; talk with campers; talk with alumni; talk with other families.
I hope there will be many possible outcomes for these events: learning about Camp for your child, engaging other Hardtner-lovers, and building bonds between the many people that contribute to Camp Hardtner’s success.
Dinner with the Director is open to participation by all, just like Camp. Episcopalians. Non-Episcopalians. The heavily invested or the simply curious. Former campers. Future campers. Current campers. Families and children. Moms. Dads. Grandparents. Priests. Youth workers.
Hope to see you at one of these events!
Peace, Love, and Milk & Cookies
